Chef Chad Lardie, owner of Embers Steakhouse recently won the Top Chef Competition at the 2013 Restaurant Round Up. The competition was based on the food network show, ‘Chopped’. The Chef’s competed in a mystery box competition. The first round the three ingredients were: water cress, pretzels and bay scallops. The second round he ingredients were: cheese whiz, steak, dried mushrooms and heirloom tomatoes. The desert round was: Thai chilli sauce, pound cake and Dragon fruit. Lardie won the competition by more than 15 points!
